CCTC is now accepting nominations for the Charles County Technology Company of the Year Award. The 2010 Leading Edge Awards (LEA) will be hosted by the College of Southern Maryland at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Community Center on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m, and it celebrates individuals and businesses that spur economic growth and vigor in Southern Maryland. The last day to submit nominations for the Charles County Technology Company of the Year Award is Thursday, February 18, 2010 (5 pm). Nominations must follow the criteria below: The firm nominated must have been an active participant of CCTC during the calendar year 2009. An active participant is a member company that attends, helps or donates items to CCTC events; presents at our Lunch & Learns; advertises or contributes content for our Tech. Guide; and/or volunteers on a committee or with CCTC sponsored community events, such as Tech Night, Youth in Technology Summit, or CSM Robotics (CSM's 2010 robotics event is approaching; we highly recommend that you click here to sign up as a volunteer). A written summary (3 pages maximum) of the firm addressing the following: * 20% - How successful was the member firm in 2009? * 20% - How did the firm contribute to the advancement of technology? * 20% - How was the firm involved in community activities? * 20% - Name a particular accomplishment of the firm in 2009. * 20% - How did the firm contribute to the goals of CCTC? Nominations may be sent in Microsoft Word or PDF format by e-mail to lea@thetechcouncil.net or faxed to 877-282-5734. The winner of this prestigious award will be highlighted in the next published Tech Guide following the LEA and on numerous press releases announcing the 2010 LEA Event. Past CCTC member awardees include Port Tobacco Consulting (2009), PC Wireless, Inc. (2008), MorganFranklin Corporation (2007), Civista Health (2006), Charles County Government Department of Information Technology (2005), Maredith Management, LLC (2004), Professional Network Solutions (2003), Zekiah Technologies (2002) and Automated Graphic Systems (2001).
